The resource emerged by Cardial in 2017 is at an average depth of 1,600 meters deep with an estimated average temperature of 100 degrees Celsius. Field tests have already certified 70 degrees to 490 meters with a gradient increase of 10 degrees per 100 meters. The natural resource discovered and now put into operation is possible thanks to the existence of an underground sea of thousands of hectares, which is under the region of Níjar. The water, which is not of conventional, agricultural or human use due to the mineral composition of that subsoil, is naturally heated by the volcanic activity of the area that, although it was extinguished thousands of years ago, maintains an intact natural resource, absolutely exploitable and inexhaustible. Resource management consists of a closed cycle that, as it extracts water, returns it to the reservoir once its heat energy is used, thus restarting the natural process.
